Hardy Boys
"The Hardy Boys are a young band but they’ve got the momentum of passionate craftsmen who know what they love. They demonstrate both a matured talent and a matured social consciousness, and it’s important to recognize both. “I don’t want my role model to be Mick Jagger, Pete Townsend or Paul McCartney… A lot of people—all they are is their music. What happens when you don’t have to work anymore? You go crazy and get divorced and overdose. Someone like Pete Seeger, he used music to do things, to help people, to stand up for people.” I don’t think I’ve ever met someone so young with so much love for traditional American music, for common people, and for the mythology that eternally intertwines the two.
